LITTLE ROCK – The fourth season of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s award-winning television show, Arkansas Wildlife, is primed and ready to hit the airwaves and Internet this weekend.
Trey Reid, host of the show and AGFC spokesman, says the spring season is sure to catch your attention with scenes detailing why Arkansas is known as The Natural State.
“We’ll kick things off with a trip to Mountain View, where the crew takes in the annual Arkansas Folk Festival before heading out to nearby Ozark streams to fish for smallmouth bass,” Reid said. “We also delve into smallmouth bass biology to give anglers a better understanding of what makes these feisty fish so special and perhaps even providing some hints as to how to catch more on your next outing.”
Other shows this spring will feature turkey hunting, AGFC habitat work on Arkansas lakes, fly fishing and fly tying, kayak fishing and much more. As always, we’ve found some compelling stories about the people, places and things that make Arkansas’s outdoors unique.
The show airs each weekend in northwest and central Arkansas TV markets: It airs at 9 a.m. Sunday on KARZ Channel 42 and 11 p.m. Sunday on KARK Channel 4 in Central Arkansas. Tune in to KFTA Channel 24 in northwest Arkansas at 6:30 a.m. Saturdays to catch the show as well.
If you happen to miss the show, each episode also airs on the Arkansas Wildlife YouTube page at https://www.youtube.com/arkansaswildlife, the Monday after each weekend’s broadcast. Check it out now to catch up on previous seasons before kicking off spring in style with Arkansas Wildlife.
